Scottish Inns & Suites IAH Airport, TX

Recently updated. Some rooms have a nice sized kitchenette. I've stayed there twice. Convenient to IAH. Good parking.

This is a decent motel for the price, and close to the airport. Very friendly desk staff--Leo was super helpful. The room was large, clean, and recently updated with fresh bathroom tile/paint/etc. There is a fair amount of road noise, but we ran the fan on the AC all night for white noise and I slept great. We left before breakfast was served. The shuttle is a service that hops to several of the smaller hotels in the area, and took a very long time to pick us up at the airport. We chose to schedule an uber back to the airport to be sure we got there on time for our early morning flight. Efficient, no frills motel that felt safe and clean.

Stayed on a voucher from United Airlines. Place was very clean and room 219 was nice and remodeled. Overall the property is clean, quiet and had clear communication from staff when I called for the shuttle from airport. Overall a positive experience during a challenging moment in travel.

The rooms were extremely clean. You can tell they are recently renovated. No carpets! And the bed was comfortable. 5 stars for cleanliness. Which to me, for just a quick night, I'd take a clean room over a filthy room with lots of amenities any day. Although I should add, my room had a full sized fridge, a little stove, and kitchen sink. Breakfast seemed fine, there just weren't many options. If you're looking for something healthy, there's even less. But they had the waffle maker or pancake maker or something like that (I didn't get a good look at it). I had a banana. I booked the 8am airport shuttle. They tell you to be in the lobby 15 minutes early, which seems reasonable. But I thought that was just to make sure the shuttle could leave on time, since loading luggage can take some time. It turns out the shuttle actually leaves 15 minutes early. Since I didn't have any luggage, I was going to be about 10 minutes early. However, the front desk does give you a courtesy call when the shuttle is about to leave, which was nice. So I made it onto the shuttle. Overall I was very pleased with my stay. Far better than most motels I've stayed in, solely for the cleanliness.

Stayed there Nov 8 for one night. Very well kept, rooms were clean and I felt like I was getting a better room than I should for the money I spent. I would stay here again.

The Scottish Inn & Suites near Houston Airport is a decent option for a short stay, particularly if you need a place close to the airport. The location is relatively convenient, and they offer a shuttle service, which is a nice perk. The hotel itself is older but has been updated, and the rooms are surprisingly clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making check-in and my stay smooth despite the unexpected circumstances of my visit. The parking lot is well-lit and feels relatively safe, though the hotel is not in the best part of town. I stayed here due to a flight cancellation and a hotel voucher, so I am not aware of the exact pricing, but I would guess it’s in line with other hotels in the area given its proximity to the airport. While the hotel served its purpose for an overnight stay, I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here otherwise.

We stayed here for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised. The price is amazing for the area — you really can’t find anything similar nearby for that rate. The rooms were very clean and super spacious. The bed was comfortable (pillows were a bit unusual for my taste, but that’s personal preference). Important to know: the “24-hour shuttle” actually runs from 5am–11pm and only once per hour, not on demand. If you miss it, an Uber is about $15. Not a big deal, just good to be aware. Despite some reviews mentioning safety concerns, we felt completely safe. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here!

Thank goodness for Scottish Inns & Suites! It was a very long day, having already been screwed over by Trivago and I needed a last minute place to sleep for a 6hr layover. The room is very clean and feels like a homely studio apartment. Management also called about 10 mins after I entered the room to make sure it was comfortable. I would definitely return.
